Lilac Hedge Farm is Hiring a Bartender Near Rutland, MA

Lilac Hedge Farm is looking to fill several roles in our beer garden. This position is compensated by pooled tips. Candidate must have weekend availability from May 1 through October 31st The beer garden is open seasonally Friday through Sunday, as well as occasional off hours event. Typical shifts are

  • Friday 3-10
  • Saturday 11-7
  • Saturday 3-10
  • Sunday 10-7

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 shifts available per week.

Responsibilities Include:

-responsibly serving beer, wine, and spirits to 21 guests

-maintaining a clean and organized workspace

-keeping bar well stocked, communicating when items need to be re-ordered

-assisting porters, food runners, and kitchen staff with maintaining the cleanliness and order of the beer garden and other guest areas

-representing the organization in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner

Qualified applicants would have:

-TIPS certification

-a service oriented mindset

-a friendly, can-do attitude and willingness to work

-reliable transportation

-6 months experience in the service industry

-strong organizational skills

-proactive, honest and constructive communication regarding work

-ability to work efficiently based on priorities, willingness to take direction, initiative, and constructive criticism

-ability to work well as part of a team

-reliability and punctuality

-ability to self-motivate, work independently, and follow detailed instructions

-ability to stand for 6-10 hours and lift 50 pounds

-pride in their work

-strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment

-sense of humor is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $6.75 per hour
