The Accounting Analyst will handle a broad range of accounting functions including month end close, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and analysis. He/she will provide support in the development of operating and financial plans as well as operating expense budgets. The position requires an individual who has strong problem-solving skills, the ability to identify obstacles or issues, dedication, and willingness to meet hard deadlines. The individual in this role must be able to work both independently and in a team environment to develop and propose solutions.
- Month End close
- Journal Entry preparation and entry
- Monthly Accrual and deferral entries
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation and analysis
- Expense Report Review
- Updating Bank info
- Bank Reconciliations
- Monthly trend variance analysis
- Reporting monthly results to leadership
- Support with Annual Audits
- Assist in the development of annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Support the financial systems responsibilities of the budget process and monthly expense reporting.
- Track and monitor performance activity of key drivers against the expense budget to aid decision-making.
- Develop and manage models to assist in key business decisions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding processing of requisitions and payments.
- College degree in accounting or finance with strong analysis skills.
- Basic knowledge of GAAP.
- Must be able to work as a flexible team player to achieve goals and ability to continually adapt to changes that accompany a fast-growing business.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, demonstrate strong follow through, and to follow departmental procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Oracle Experience a plus.
- High energy self-motivator with a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
Technical/Functional Competencies
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access & MS Project.
- Knowledge of Hyperion/Essbase and Oracle preferred.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. The pay range at the time of posting in the specified locations is $ 55,000- $70,000/year. Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
