Job Description

Ardmore Behavioral Health Collaborative (ABHC) is a multi-sector collaborative serving southern Oklahoma with an emphasis on Ardmore. The collaborative is an innovative partnership among organizations and individuals across all sectors interested in improving behavioral health outcomes and services in the area. The vision of ABHC is a healthy, connected, and resilient community. ABHC’s mission is “Through fostering authentic relationships, establishing effective processes, and expanding educational opportunities, we work to improve health in the community.”

 Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers is a partner in the collaborative and will be the employer of the ABHC Community Coordinator. Direct supervision and employee management will be the responsibility of Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers.

POSITION SUMMARY & DEFINITION:

The ABHC Community Coordinator will maintain and support the projects and processes that connect ABHC and partners within the community.

Position duties include but are not limited to:

Overseeing the creation, launch, and implementation of the ABHC Education Hub

  • Scheduling trainings and coordinating event details
  • Processing training evaluations
  • Maintaining the ABHC Community Resource Page
  • Conducting an annual audit of the ABHC Community Resource Page
  •  Maintaining good relationships with ABHC community partners and local service providers
  • Providing administrative support for ABHC projects
  •  Promoting the mission and vision of ABHC in the community

This position is supervised by the Director of ABHC.  

Qualifications and Benefits


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Proficiency in email, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet navigation required
  • Experience using digital communication and basic graphic design skills preferred

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  •  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with collaborators both inside and outside the program.
  •  Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize across multiple projects.
  •  Must be able to manage details of event planning for trainings, presentations, and community events.
  •  Must have the ability to acquire a working knowledge of trauma-informed care, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and the impact of trauma on the community.
  • Must be able to articulate ABHC’s mission and vision and promote ABHC’s projects with passion and clarity.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties:

  • Gather information for the creation of the ABHC Education Hub, manage the catalog and calendar of certified local trainings, work with ABHC partners to identify needed trainings, schedule and plan training events, coordinate with trainers and participants, promote training events, and process evaluations and outcomes from trainings.
  • Conduct an annual audit of the ABHC Community Resource Page to ensure the page is accurate and up to date, manage continuous updates to the page as needed, coordinate with community partners and service partners throughout the year.
  • Promote ABHC, ABHC’s mission and vision, and various ABHC projects at community events.
  • Work with Director of ABHC and community partners to establish processes to ensure the ABHC Education Hub and ABHC Community Resource Page are utilized, maintained, and promoted in an inclusive and efficient manner.
  • Must be willing to and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
  • Must meet “satisfactory” expectations at any scheduled job performance evaluation, coaching and/or Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Just complete Lighthouse required training and resulting follow up and consultation as required at hire, annually, and as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs other reasonably-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • May work outdoors and indoors in various conditions, including hot, humid, wet and cold conditions.
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle for long distances and for a sustained period of time. 
  • Must possess sight/hearing sense or use a prosthetics that enables these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Must be able to relate and work with other Lighthouse staff and ABHC partners in a courteous, diplomatic manner under all circumstances.
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs, walk for long distances, stand for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, bend, squat, reach, kneel, pull and twist using good body mechanisms for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
