Role Overview: As a Value-Based Care/Healthcare Analytics Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for leveraging your expertise in healthcare analytics and business analysis to drive initiatives focused on enhancing value-based care strategies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including healthcare providers, data scientists, and IT professionals, to gather and analyze data, derive meaningful insights, and develop innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis: Utilize healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving value-based care delivery.
  2. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable requirements for data-driven solutions.
  3. Solution Development: Work closely with technical teams to develop and implement analytical solutions aligned with value-based care objectives.
  4. Performance Measurement: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and impact of value-based care initiatives.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Conduct ongoing analysis and propose enhancements to existing processes and solutions to optimize value-based care strategies.

  7. Understanding Existing Healthcare Metrics: Proficiency in comprehending prevailing healthcare cost, utilization, and quality metrics is essential. This role involves ensuring that Lightbeam's metric definitions remain current, aligning with industry standards and government updates. This includes a keen eye for regulatory modifications and an ability to adapt Lightbeam's metrics to stay in accordance with the evolving healthcare landscape.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare informatics, healthcare administration, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in healthcare analytics, business analysis, or a similar role within the healthcare domain.
  • Strong understanding of value-based care models, healthcare payment systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with healthcare cost, utilization, and quality metrics, including a thorough understanding of industry standards and updates.
  • Experience in ensuring alignment of organizational metric definitions with industry and government updates, demonstrating adaptability to evolving healthcare landscapes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or other BI tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
