We are looking to hire an Assistant District Sales Manager to join our team. The Assistant District Sales Manager is responsible for helping a District Sales Manager lead a team of Account Sales Managers in a predetermined territory to maximize volume and revenue growth. This role is predominantly an in-the-field position with some people management responsibilities. These responsibilities include, coaching, selling skills, in-store display execution, and merchandising standards.

Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to the following:

Sales

• Maximize revenue growth through in-store audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely customer service is provided to the customer base.
• Develop strong business relationships with key customers within sales territory.
• Set specific sales and merchandising goals for the sales team.
• Audit customers to maintain merchandising, point-of-sale material, and product rotation standards.
• Assistant District Manager will be Key Account proficient.

Personnel

• Train and motivate Account Sales Mangers to develop excellent trade relationships, maximize selling skills, and deliver expected in-store merchandising and display results.
• Assist District Sales Manager with resets, cooler placements, and VIP account management.
• Ride with Account Sales Managers in the van or truck to train and evaluate.
• Conduct staff meetings with Account Sales Managers and Trainees to discuss progress in meeting goals and objectives.
• The Assistant District Manager will be responsible for route coverage (Vacation, Sick etc..) in their district.
• The Assistant District Manager will be responsible for writing a weekly plan.
• A minimum of two days of route work weekly.

Qualifications

Requirements for the Position Include:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or 3 years of equivalent work experience
• 3 years work experience, preferably in beverages/consumer products in a DSD model.
• Experience in people management preferred
• Must be analytical, a problem solver, and possess leadership skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure
• Must possess strong computer skills
• Valid Driver's License
• General lifting of up to 45lbs and moving up to 100lbs with a handcart
