Position Summary:
Primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge (Master’s Degree and at least two years of experience) in the field of Human Services, and to use such advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing the highest quality client-centered therapeutic services. Must also use such advanced knowledge to serve as a consultant and mentor to Direct Care employees and Behavioral Technicians, among other staff. This position is responsible for initial screening and intake admissions of new and established persons served to provide clinical services as needed to include biopsychosocials, treatment plans, and other services related to admissions. Position is also responsible for checking benefits with insurance companies, verifying benefit coverage, initial eligibility, completing authorizations required to support billing. Other responsibilities include timely follow-up on billed services that were not processed or paid correctly and ensuring that these issues are corrected and addressed. This position is required to enter all pertinent documentation for services and to meet billing requirements into the Electronic Heath Record (EHR). Additionally, this position is responsible for identifying and maintaining positive working relationships with referral sources as well as maintaining the proper payor mix. Based on the knowledge and degree required, this position will serve as a lead position in the provision of direct care.
Assignments/tasks are expected to be executed with considerable independence and maintain compliance with established facility policies and procedures, contract requirements, organization bylaws, and federal and state regulations/laws. Therapeutic services include but are not limited to, assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person centered services and management of client risk and safety.
Role Requirements:
• Masters’ Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related human services field (a related human services field is one in which major course work includes the study of human behavior and development),
• Two (2) years of experience working with adults who have mental health, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities OR completion of an internship at Lakeview Center, Inc. through an accredited counseling/social work program can be substituted for the two years of post-graduate experience.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Compensation:
Starting salary is $56,672 per year.
