MS THERAPIST LICENSED - 106 CCOS Citrus

JOB SUMMARY: The MA/MS Licensed Therapist will develop comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments clinically responsive to age appropriate patient/family needs and concerns to commensurate with knowledge in the substance abuse/mental health field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete psychosocial assessment on each consumer within designated time frame of admission.
• Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate consumers’ medical or physical condition and to assess needs.
• Provide documentation of clinical and case management services in accordance with department standard.
• Participate with the interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing clinical treatment plans for consumers. Serve as consumer advocate for needs within the community.
• Maintain current all staff development requirements for this position

KNOWLEDGE AND JOB SKILLS: Ability to withstand high levels of stress. Ability to work at a fast pace under high degree of pressure from time and space constraints. Must be able to utilize critical and analytical thinking. Demonstrates a cooperative attitude to problem solving and conflict resolution with all levels of staff and in all interactions with families and outside professionals.

Excellent communication skills. Sensitivity to the needs of others. Initiative, accuracy and dependability are important. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. 

Must be able to produce a volume of work error free. Must be able to meet deadlines. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

Education:

• Master’s degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other relevant Human Service Field required
• Licensure required as Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist valid in FL

Experience:

• Minimum ofTwo (2) years of direct clinical experience preferable in a health or mental health setting with an emphasis on population to be served in the assigned area 

Driving Requirements:

• Must be Over the age of 21 required
• Minimum of 5-years driving experience required
• Possess a Valid FL Driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if currently do not possess)
• Possess a continuously valid US Driver’s license for the past three years, from date of issue required
• Safe Driving record required

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional development may be assigned due to evolution of programs.
