Lifestone Ministries/Union Gospel Press is Hiring an Information Technology Support Specialist Near Cleveland, OH

The Information Technology Support Specialist role involves the planning and delivery of IT

support services including administration, installation, consultation, troubleshooting, user

assistance, and training.

Pay is negotiable and contingent on experience.

Functions Include:

  • analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning and installation of new

and existing personal devices and workstations

  • Microsoft 365 Administration to maintain users and environment
  • install new hardware and software and maintain existing components
  • maintain network environment, servers, firewall, etc.
  • troubleshoot and resolve issues with user devices and peripheral equipment

located throughout the organization

  • confer with end users to determine types of hardware and software required
  • train end users in the use of equipment and software
  • perform general maintenance tasks
  • support call center phone system
  • evaluate products for compatibility, expandability, and ease of use and support
  • recommend to management for the support or nonsupport of evaluated products
  • prepare progress reports for all work performed
  • additional tasks as assigned

Skills Required:

  • High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware, and applications
  • Microsoft 365: administration, support, client workstation

setup/deployment/management, troubleshooting

  • Server/Storage: Setup/configuration/maintenance of Operating Systems,

administration of network attached storage (NAS), troubleshooting

  • Server Room: Cabling, rack management, power monitoring, troubleshooting
  • Network: Switch port management, Wi-Fi management, ethernet and PoE concepts,

troubleshooting

  • Firewall: Firewall concepts, monitoring and troubleshooting (both firewall and client

alerts), 2FA, password vaulting

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Backup and restore concepts, file recovery, disaster

recovery testing, troubleshooting

  • Fast Learner: Ability to quickly and efficiently gain knowledge of new technologies

and concepts

  • Customer service skills to interact professionally and positively with employees and

coworkers

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problems
  • Strong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain

complex technical concepts in simple language

  • Excellent written communication skills needed for the creation of employee

notifications, vendor messaging, and useful support logs

  • Time management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frame
