Position Summary :

Central Carolina in Sanford, NC. is seeking a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Med / Surg Unit.

The PRN CNA will :

Provide patient care to include but not limited to, assistance with activities of daily living, vital signs and Accu-checks while under the supervision and direction of the nurse.

Required Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent required within 30 days of hire
• Graduate of Nursing Assistant Program I

Required Certifications :

• Certified Nursing Assistant I
• BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Essential Functions :

• Monitor vital signs / blood sugars
• Assists patients with activities of daily living; Document and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition
• Measure and document input / output and weights
• Assist nurse as needed
• Answer call lights
• Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge
• Provide care appropriate to the condition / age of the patient
• Distribute drinks and / or snacks
• Adhere to CCH attendance policy
• All other duties as assigned
