LifeLynx, LLC is Hiring a Billing Assistant Near Portland, ME

LifeLynx LLC is a Chiropractic organization, owning several Chiropractic clinics throughout New England. We currently own 7 clinics and are quickly expanding.

We are seeking a full-time, experienced, billing specialist who is highly proficient with all aspects of the billing and revenue cycle. You will work directly with our Director of Revenue Cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparation and submission of electronic and paper claims.

Understanding of timely filing for all claims.

Entering, posting, and balancing of insurance and patient payments.

Review of EOB's to ensure proper payments, correction and resubmission of denied claims

Preparation of; daily, weekly & monthly reports for clients and supervisors.

Understanding of patient copays, coinsurances and deductibles.

Experience and proficiency with computers & EHR systems.

Excellent communication skills to successfully interact with patients, providers, office managers, referral sources, insurances companies and other payers.

Maintaining credentialing of providers

Identifies common billing errors from separate offices and work to put system in place to minimize errors.

Responsible for AR. Includes following up with Health/ Auto/WC/Attorney claims.

Patient statements and collections.

What you bring:

  • Minimum of 1 year billing experience
  • Must have a strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 years in a chiropractic environment
  • Experience with ChiroTouch, Trizetto, Availity, clearing houses
  • Knowledge of chiropractic modifiers for billing
  • Knowledge of ICD 10
