LifeLinks Mental Health is Expanding!
We are currently looking to fill the following position: Recovery Support Specialist in our Crisis program
The Recovery Support Specialist provides peer support services that includes:
- Serving as a consumer advocate
- Providing consumer information
- Providing support to consumers in a Crisis situation
- Any Service that will assist consumers in regaining control over their lives and the recovery process.
The RSS must be empathetic and possess interpersonal communication skills, must be able to easily identify warning signs and provide effective interventions and support.
Minimum Qualification/Requirements:
- Must have at a minimum a high school diploma or GED.
- Must Self-identify with a history of mental illness and/or addiction.
- Must be maintaining healthy recovery from mental illness and/or addiction
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to meet written communication requirements.
- Must be able to verify completion of state-approved certification program with passing score within one year of hire.
- Knowledge of recovery resources.
- The ability to be on call for Crisis and work some weekends and holidays.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
