The Marketing and Media Coordinator helps coordinate PR, social media and marketing efforts to drive adoptions, donations and awareness for LifeLine Animal Project. This position is a hybrid role (part remote/part in shelter) and supports marketing efforts by capturing content, working with media partners, assisting at events, posting to social media, coordinating projects/events and helping to highlight lifesaving programs and initiatives.

● Marketing
o Work with the marketing team to support and promote LifeLine events, programs and initiatives and to get the word out into our community.
o Develop content that supports adoptions, donations. events, programs, shelter needs and volunteer activities.
o Help manage the creation, print and distribution of flyers and signage.
o Manage event calendar postings for website & community calendars.
o Attend monthly events as brand ambassador & promote needs of the organization.
● Media:
○ Help provide monthly PR reporting stats via Meltwater
○ Help assemble press images and video packages for media requests
○ Help coordinate media responses, interviews and track down internal responses & data
○ Assist with media tours, interviews and responses
○ Provide assistance trafficking assets and Dog of the Week content to media partners
● Social/Content:
○ Seek out stories to promote the CAC (and across the organization)
o Help capture engaging video and photo content for LifeLine’s social channels
o Promote positive conversations, respond to messages, and escalate any concerns
o Help post, promote content on LifeLine Facebook groups to inform and engage our supporters and community.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Knowledge of photography, videography and content creation
· Must love animals and be comfortable working with large dogs
· Photography and video editing skills
· Public and media relations experience preferred
· Customer service experience preferred
· Experience with major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok
· Professional experience using social media for business success is a plus
· Excellent and professional written communication skills
· Flexibility to react to changes in shelter priorities
· Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. One years’ experience in animal related field preferred.
