Position: Adult Group Home Therapist / Behaviorist

Location:

Group Homes for Adults w/Development Disabilities in Dighton, MA Region.

Compensation:

$65K to $70K Plus Excellent Benefits!

Requirements:

  • Completed or nearly completed Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field.
  • Consideration for applicants enrolled in Master’s Program with at least 2 years’ experience.
  • Highly organized, able to meet deadlines, and ability to work independently.

Position Purpose

The Group Home Therapist / Behaviorist is responsible for the development, training, and oversight of behavioral and clinical supports for identified individuals with varying diagnosis (autism, mental health, substance abuse, PSB) receiving services in residential settings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned as required:

  • Develop, monitor, and oversee components necessary for effective behavioral treatment consistent with State Regulations
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments in order to provide function-based interventions
  • Develop specific Individualized data collection systems and ongoing analysis of data
  • Utilize behavioral data to inform and update goals/objectives in the Positive Behavior Support Plan
  • Formal and informal training of Positive Behavior Support Plan
  • Identify and ensure any individual specific behavioral intervention that requires review or approval from a funding source, guardian, regulatory committee, etc. is submitted and obtained according to identified timelines
  • Interface with funding sources, guardians, and related professionals to ensure information is shared to ensure comprehensive and integrated supports
  • Implement and develop behavioral training that will teach and enhance the skills of the individuals providing supports
  • Interface with individual and group therapy providers, psychiatry and in some cases neurology to ensure an integrated treatment approach is maintained
  • Consult with Agency Human Sexuality Educator(s)
  • Actively participate in Individual Support Plan, case conference, team meetings, etc.
  • Participates in development, delivery, and review of behavior/clinical training
  • Provide individual and group sessions related to one’s area of training and expertise such as but not limited to social skills, individual therapy, human awareness, friendship and dating, and treatment specific group therapy (i.e., problem sexual behavior)
  • Coordinate on site psychiatry clinics and/or facilitate psychiatric care with outside providers
  • Provide data for psychiatrists to facilitate discussions regarding behavior modifying medication
  • Development of PRN protocol and monitoring for effectiveness
  • Motivated to lead by example, in vivo supervision, and training of direct support professionals
  • Adhere to ethical standards as delineated in the company policies and procedures and the Code of Ethical Conduct for one’s professional organization
  • Conduct in Home Consultation including skill development and parent training
  • Participate in On-Call rotation that offers clinical support during crisis situations.
