General Summary: The Hospital Educator plans, develops and coordinates the dissemination or clinical and non-clinical education programs within LifeCare Hospitals for all staff. The Hospital Educator works with hospital leadership and staff to assess current educational needs and develops a plan to satisfy those needs.
Patient Population: Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the patients served. The ages of the patients served are adult (18-65 years of age) and geriatric (65 and older).

Requirements
Experience: A minimum of two years experience providing or planning employee education in a large setting. Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Education: Graduate of an approved registered nurse program. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current license in the state where practicing is required. Current BLS certification is required upon hire and ACLS certification is required within six (6) months of hire. The Hospital Educator must maintain current licensure, and BLS certifications while employed with LifeCare Hospitals.
