LifeBridge Health is Hiring an AVP, SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS Near Owings Mills, MD

POSITION SUMMARY:
The AVP, Supply Chain Operations is responsible for owning and optimizing LifeBridge Health supply chain logistics operations including inventory management, supply replenishment, receiving, internal and external distribution central stores, perioperative services and mail services. Oversight and management of the Corporate Warehouse operations. Primary system lead for Freight management. Serves as the primary contact for operational transactions with all distribution business partners. Responsible for optimizing distribution strategies, managing logistics, ensuring timely delivery of medical supplies, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance within the healthcare system.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize healthcare supply chain distribution operations, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.
Distribution Management: Lead and hold accountable the team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, storing, and shipping medical supplies. Ensure efficient workflows and processes to meet demand while minimizing costs.
Budget Planning & Freight: Ability to work with necessary resources to plan for the increase/decrease of freight charges for the delivery of products, equipment, or supplies. Accountable for maintaining budget compliance within areas of responsibility.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of medical supplies to healthcare facilities. Own and report on all budgets related to freight management.
QA & Compliance: Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to healthcare supply chain distribution. Implement quality assurance processes to maintain the integrity and safety of medical supplies throughout the distribution process.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare supply chain distribution operations. Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the healthcare supply chain distribution network. Implement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Driving Results: Driving initiatives that incorporate system-wide vision; builds shared commitment for desired future state, and achieve stated objectives; understanding, communicating, and effectively promoting the value proposition of the Supply Chain organization.
Team Leadership and Engagement: Provide leadership and guidance to Distribution leadership staff, including directors, managers, supervisors, and frontline employees. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Customer Engagement: Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate mutually caring and beneficial relationships with both internal and external customers. Customer relations behavior is demonstrated by continually striving to meet or exceed customer expectations. Actively seeking and identifying new opportunities to offer customers greater value-added services and working closely with key stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and implement supply chain logistics programs that contribute to the Supply Chain division.
Vendor Management: Forges positive professional relationships with vendors to effectively manage performance. Performs Business Reviews for applicable prime vendors on a scheduled basis. Develops and manages vendor performance metrics (i.e., fill rate, invoice accuracy). Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, suppliers and vendors of stocked supplies to ensure reliable sources of medical supplies. Maintains metrics on key supplier relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline
  • 7 years of experience
