Inspector - Field Technician

Full-Time Position

Life Safety Enterprises Inc, located in Willoughby, Ohio is growing, and we are looking for individuals that are excited to grow with us. We are looking for energetic, organized and highly self-motivated individuals for our North Ohio Region. Our service offerings include Fire and Life Safety Inspection and Repair services for Smoke & Fire Dampers, Doors, and Barrier Walls including firestop installation. Our Fire Extinguisher Division includes in-house inspection of Fire Extinguishers including the Annual Inspection and Maintenance.

In this position, you will be trained on the company’s service offerings in the healthcare, education, and manufacturing industries as well as industry knowledge training with an opportunity for both career and income growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Accomplish assigned inspections on-site to include: Exit signs and Egress lights, Fire Extinguishers, Smoke/Fire Dampers within a facility's HVAC system, Fire Barrier Walls and Doors, Electrical Receptacles.
• Where necessary, provide simple repairs and prevention methods that meet appropriate fire/building code specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure quality workmanship standards that meet client expectations.
• Ensure documentation of individual time, material and performed work services are electronically documented utilizing company software and hardware tools.
• Ensure accountability of company-provided tools, materials, and resources while present at assigned job sites.
• When necessary, act as appropriate communication liaison between on-site facility contacts and LSE sales and operations contacts ensuring excellent communication throughout all projects.

Qualifications:

• Ability to repeatedly climb a ladder, lift 50 Lbs., use basic hand tools, walk long distances and push/maneuver a mobile tool cart.
• Flexible to work various Northern Ohio locations and times based on business needs.
• Become familiar with local, state and national codes, such as (NFPA) The Joint Commission, CMS, etc., as they apply to these job requirements; through company-provided training programs.
• Successful completions required by the end of the first year of employment to include: installation, training and certification in the areas of Fire Damper, Fire Stop, and Fire Extinguisher products.
• Conduct oneself with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail; along with professional appearance and hygiene standards.
• Work in an efficient and safe manner per OSHA and LSE safety guidelines.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Basic Computer Skills

Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills

Preferred Experience:

Prefer experience in general building trades but not required.
