Shifts Available:Full-Time: Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends as needed to promote and support events at Wesley Woods.
What is Your Role? The Development Manager reflects the mission of the LEC Foundation to residents, family members, associates and the Life Enriching Communities service area. The LEC Foundation exists to support our constituents most in need, primarily through benevolent care, pastoral care and greatest needs; this position is heavily focused on building relationships with others to create, support and sustain programs and campaigns through the donation of time, talent and gifts

Essential Functions

Provide leadership and support for campaigns, major gifts and planned giving
Manage a personal portfolio of major and planned gift prospects and work closely with the development team and volunteers to determine effective strategies to engage a larger pool of identified potential donors
Meet face-to-face with prospective donors to identify opportunities for charitable giving that meet the donor's needs and are consistent with Foundation goals
Where applicable, serve as liaison to Guilds/Auxiliaries to insure their success
Establish and implement short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness; effect changes required for improvement
Participate in budget development
Work closely with Foundation Team to ensure the vision and mission of LEC is being accomplished

Bachelor's degree and 3 years successful experience in development, fundraising and/or sales
Outgoing personality and ability to initiate and enjoy direct communication with donors and potential donors; customer-service orientation
Highly developed attention to detail, exceptional organizational and time management skills
High level of communication, both verbal and written, with peers, colleagues, volunteers, donors and prospects
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as general internet usage. Experience with a donor database is preferred.
