Life Empowerment Services is Hiring a Visitation Supervisor - Behavior Aide (DFCS) Near Marietta, GA

Position Title: Visitation Supervisor - Behavior Aide

Reports to: Director of Clinical Operations

Job Status: 1099 Contract Position. Fee for services. $15-$20/hour plus mileage reimbursement. Pay is based on experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision and direction of the Clinical Director, the Visitation Supervisor - Behavior Aide is responsible for providing client support services via facilitation of supervised visitations. As well as rendering social, behavioral, life skills, and coping skills to parents and caregivers within the home office, client's home, and/or community.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field OR high school diploma and 5 years’ experience in the human-services field.
  • Human Services degrees are Psychology, Sociology, Counseling (religious counseling is not acceptable) Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Criminal Justice (only with Juvenile experience/DJJ), Education (experience teaching K-12 grade)
  • Minimum of one year of working within the human services field, providing direct support services (supervised visitations, parent aide services, transport, etc.) via Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with case managers, contractors, and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration
  • Oversee and facilitate caseload consisting of: client visitations, transport services, parent aide services, and social/behavioral/life skills, etc.
  • Schedule and coordinate support services with case managers, families, and other service providers
  • Document case notes in the online electronic health record system (eCase notes)
  • Complete required annual trainings
  • Attend required meetings & staff trainings
  • Embrace the vision and mission of the agency

COMPETENCIES

  • Fulfill contract obligations for Parent Aide, Prevention of Unnecessary out of Home Placement (PUP), Early Intervention, Comprehensive Child & Family Assessments (CCFA), Homestead, and WRAP services
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience with writing progress notes in the BIRP format
  • Passion for serving communities and rendering effective treatment
  • Interpersonal Skills – Strong desire to support others and instruct in ways that empower
  • Computer Skills – Proficient ability to use a computer and navigate Electronic Health Record (EHR) System
  • Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Confidentiality – Comply with all HIPAA regulations. Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving – Ability to make critical decisions and solve problems while following agency and partner policies and procedures
  • Flexibility – Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities
  • Previous Experience utilizing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System. eCase Notes experience is a plus
  • Efficient with strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers) and demonstrated professional demeanor
  • Organization Skills – Must have planning skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to pass all vital background checks/screenings
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

  • Contract position providing behavior aide & transportation services in the community
  • Flexible availability including evenings and weekends fulfilling 15 hours/week minimum (part-time) or 30 hours/week minimum (full-time)
  • There are upfront costs part of next steps should you be extended an offer (Fingerprints, CPR, etc)
  • In this role, you will also be using your own vehicle and would be reimbursed for mileage
  • All Behavior Aides extended an offer would be required to participate in a 3 Day Training before providing services
