Manager of Rehabilitation Services

Position Summary

As the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily department operations of Licking Memorial Health Systems Rehabilitation Services, ensuring compliance with LMHS business processes. Under the general direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Manager of Rehabilitation Services will ensure safe, high-quality care is provided to patients in all areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels, policy management, program development, as well as addressing any patient/employee concerns. This role will oversee physical, occupational and speech therapies throughout the continuum of care.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of rehabilitation services ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
• Ensuring departmental collaboration, teamwork, and communication to maximize operating efficiencies.
• Provides employees with opportunities and challenges in order to develop skills and knowledge base to promote program development.
• Employs FAST feedback with employees (frequent, accurate, specific, and timely) to drive improvement in individual and departmental performance.
• Monitors inventory to ensure that employees have resources necessary to provide quality patient care.
• Monitoring staffing levels to ensure proper coverage of all supervised areas. This includes managing call offs and PTO requests per established policies.
• Leads monthly departmental meetings to allow for two-way communication. Communicates information to staff to ensure that they are well informed of organizational changes and accomplishments.
• Maintains policies and procedures for Rehabilitation Services and ensures staff understanding and adherence to set standards.
• Proactively manages process improvements through ISO processes and dashboards.
• Monitors actual vs budgeted financial performance and reports as appropriate.
• Addresses all patient/employee concerns in a timely manner per LMH policies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.
• Licensure in rehabilitation field (PT, OT SLP)
• Knowledge of various areas and workflows of rehabilitation services.
• Experience working in multiple areas of rehabilitation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Previous management experience in a rehab setting.
