Benefits/HRIS Specialist

Position Summary:

As a Benefits Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining efficient benefit administration within the HRIS. You'll provide comprehensive support for all employee benefit programs, including health, life, disability, and retirement benefits, educating newly hired employees and resolving inquiries. Coordinating annual open enrollment, collaborating with external vendors, and delivering employee benefit education and communication are also integral parts of the role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive benefit support to all employees for all benefit programs including but not limited to health and welfare benefits, life and disability, and retirement benefits
• Develop and maintain benefit process efficiencies in the HRIS; use HRIS reporting to perform audits
• Educate and enroll newly hired employees on eligible benefits, perform monthly billing audits, process all life, short and long term disability claims
• Coordinate annual open enrollment and perform all associated audits and tasks
• Resolve benefit-related inquiries from employees
• Collaborate with external vendors
• Identify, create and deliver employee benefit education and communication as needed throughout the year
• Coordinate events for employee groups as needed throughout the year

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
• 3 years of experience in benefit administration or similar role preferred
• Proficiency with UKG Pro HRIS and Microsoft Office preferred
• Excellent communication skills and strong ability for attention to detail
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
