Associate Scientific Director (Publications- Publication Planning)

An excellent Medical Communications company is actively in search of an Associate Scientific Director that has approximately four (4) or more years of progressive medical writing experience within a medical communications company, along with a strong foundation in peer reviewed publications, publication planning, and/or medical affairs experience.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• A percentage of time involved in content development, client interaction, proposal & new business development support, QA/QC of junior team members, strategic work with client(s)
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills are essential
• Excellent time management, multitasking and ability to deliver on time and on point.
• Ability to work with internal staff and teams (program management, account management, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of content

Qualifications:

• PhD, MD, PharmD, advanced degree with approximately four (4) or more years of medical writing experience in a healthcare communications company
• Medical communications agency experience (Publications, Publication Planning, Medical Affairs, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Promotional Medical Education, Commercialization)

• Understanding of AMA guidelines
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Microsoft proficient (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other industry software)
• Ability to work both independent and as a team member
