Pay Philosophy

The typical starting salary range ($121,000 - $150,000) for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.


Description

This is a hybrid position and will require a minimum of 2 days in office. Hybrid locations include:

Boston MA

Portsmouth NH

Seattle WA

Plano TX

Leverages deep understanding of Treasury function, high capacity, financial institution and software provider knowledge to drive Treasury and business unit(s) objectives. Represents multiple Treasury departments in highly complex efforts and projects spanning many functional areas, such as acquisitions, major system or process changes and other strategic projects. Serves as key strategic advisor for Treasury on new product builds and business unit efforts. Influences external parties, Treasury and business unit leadership as needed to drive strategic goals of Treasury and Liberty Mutual. Is a role model and mentor for teammates by supporting the development of their capabilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages and executes the high complexity, highly-visible, cross-functional projects that are non-cyclical and varied, aligning with the project management life cycle (initiating/defining; planning; executing; close-out) and supporting business priorities, while keeping compliance controls top of mind.
  • Leads collaboration and partnerships with business unit(s) to conceptualize immediate and long-range priorities to achieve business results through advising on Treasury, financial institution, and software provider processes and solutions to assist in reaching goals.
  • Provides technical expertise and leads collaboration between Product Owners and operational Treasury teams to support implementation of new technologies to support business outcomes.
  • Independently and through aligned resources conducts complex analysis and can quantify results to speak to trends or problem solve.
  • Provides technical and analytical assessments of current issues facing Treasury and business stakeholders to uncover actionable insights to solve problems and lead to improvements.
  • Strategically leverages vendor relationships. Engage and negotiate (SLA`s, contracts, etc.) with external agencies/organizations such as financial institutions and software providers, to evaluate and implement products on behalf of Treasury and business unit(s).
  • Contributes to the strategy definition across the Treasury organization. Consults with business unit(s) on driving their strategies forward as related to Treasury, often negotiating with executives.
  • Identifies business process impact of new capabilities, new business (E.G. acquisitions or consolidation), and new solutions.
  • Develops and implements detailed plans to ensure success of the operations. Serves as formal and informal mentor of employees across Treasury on a variety of topics.
  • Fosters development of Treasury teammates by coaching and shaping assignments to advance the capabilities of the Treasury organization.
  • Builds a culture of innovation to continuously improve processes to ensure work is performed in the most efficient and effective means possible.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) required
  • Minimum of 10 years of finance experience
  • Certified Treaury Professional certification preferred
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify new areas of opportunity and make recommendations to senior leaders on future strategies
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization and builds diverse partnerships to deliver value to customers while minimizing conflict
  • Raises new ideas and comfortable making persuasive presentations to large audiences as champion of the project`s objectives
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to promote discussion while fostering collaboration within the team and with other areas of the organization
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results
