General

• Follow all guidelines of Licensing by the State of Michigan and the policies and procedures set by Rivers Edge Learning Tree.
• Assist in the maintenance of current licensing.
• Assist in ensuring that files are complete and updated student information is maintained (this includes proper documentation of risk factors, records of interviews and home visits with families).
• Prepare course objectives and curriculum for developmentally appropriate daily routines in accordance with Rivers Edge Learning Tree guidelines and the Creative Curriculum.
• Knowledge of Teaching Strategies Gold or willingness to be trained.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Classroom Management and Parental Involvement

• Maintain order in classroom and on the playground.
• Maintain classrooms in a neat and clean manner.
• Discuss pupils’ development, achievement and behavior with parent

Required Experience and Education:

For Lead Teacher Position:

• Must meet all requirements established by the DHS.
• Will successfully pass a criminal background check and TB test (fingerprinting and TB test fees employee responsibility)

For Assistant Position:

• A CDA in Preschool or Associates in Early Childhood .
• Must meet all requirements established by the DHS.
• Will successfully pass a criminal background check and TB test ( fingerprinting and TB test fees responsibility of employee).
