Job Title: Associate Level Structural Designer/Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Associate Level Structural Designer/Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and detailing using Tekla Structures and SDS/2 software. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the success of our engineering team.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of detailed structural models, drawings, and specifications using Tekla Structures and SDS/2 software.
2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
3. Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
4. Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to coordinate structural designs with other disciplines.
5. Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, details, and material lists.
6. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and verify design requirements.
7. Coordinate with fabrication and construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of design solutions.
8. Mentor and train junior designers/engineers on software tools, design methodologies, and best practices.
9. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
10. Stay updated with advancements in structural engineering software, techniques, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3 years of experience in structural design and detailing using Tekla Structures and SDS/2 software.
3. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or similar programs.
4. Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to structural design.
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and accurate design solutions.
8. Previous experience with steel, concrete, and/or timber structures is preferred.
9. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) concepts and workflows is advantageous.
