LHH is seeking a Production Scheduler to work in the Louisville KY, metro area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Production Scheduler coordinates resources including labor and machines to schedule production and assembly activities to achieve customer requirements of quantity, quality and shipping schedules while adhering to safety, quality, and operational efficiency requirements. He/She acts as interface between production, material requirement planning and shipping and distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creates production schedule based on inventory levels and customer demands
• Communicates plan to production supervisor
• Checks production confirmations vs. production schedule
• Monitors adherence to production schedules
• Monitors production orders (delete obsolete production orders) changes due dates etc based on requirements
• Manages control cycles (production control cycles)
• Demonstrates knowledge of capacities, cycles, and bottlenecks for the value streams.
• Demonstrates knowledge of material flow and product types to best optimize performance.
• Becomes the PMK (person most knowledgeable) of the scheduling and inventory systems and tools to make the voice of the customer visible to the plant floor.
• Ability to handle backup work from the other Production Schedulers is demonstrated.
• Collects, analyzes, interprets information from internal and external sources to initiates or adjust production/assembly activities
• Effective cooperation with other members of the company, including subordinates, peers or managers.

Qualifications:

• 7 years in manufacturing or supply chain
• B.S. degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma stronlgy preferred
