Order Entry Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Order Entry Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing orders received from customers via various channels, including phone, email, and online portals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity located near Lake Bluff, IL.

Responsibilities :

• Receive, review, and accurately enter customer orders into our internal systems in a timely manner. Ensure that all order details, including product codes, quantities, pricing, and shipping information, are entered correctly and completely.
• Double-check order information for accuracy and completeness, confirming product availability, pricing, and customer details before finalizing entries.

Communicate with customers or internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues as needed.

Prioritize and manage a high volume of incoming orders efficiently, ensuring that orders are processed promptly and according to established deadlines.

Coordinate with other departments, such as inventory management and shipping, to facilitate smooth order fulfillment.

• Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding order inquiries, status updates, and general questions. Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or online chat, providing courteous and helpful assistance at all times.
• Address order-related issues or concerns promptly and proactively, working closely with internal teams and external partners to find solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Escalate complex or unresolved issues to supervisors or management as necessary.

• Keep detailed records of all order transactions, communications, and interactions in our database or CRM system. Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible for reference and reporting purposes.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to order processing, data security, and customer service. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in business administration or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in order entry, data entry, or customer service role preferred.
• Strong typing skills and proficiency in data entry, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with order management systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Job Details :

• Monday- Friday
• Pay is $20- $23 an hour depending on experience
