We are currently hiring for an Attorney in our thriving Litigation practice area in our Los Angeles office. We are dedicated to advocating for educational institutions and public agencies, and we are seeking a talented and motivated attorney to contribute to our mission. As an Attorney in our Litigation practice area, you will play a pivotal role in representing our clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters. Collaborating closely with experienced attorneys, you will have the opportunity to engage in all phases of litigation, from case strategy development to trial representation. Your work will contribute directly to advancing the legal interests of our education and public agency clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide well-founded guidance to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents with a high level of precision.
  • Engage in discovery activities, including document review and deposition preparation.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with attorneys, support staff and clients, providing updates on case progress as needed.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and changes in education and public agency law.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
  • 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in education law, public agency law, or related areas.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for advocating for educational institutions and public agencies.
