You will work closely with our experienced Accounting Manager and will be responsible for processing payments, analyzing accounts, maintaining and balancing accounting ledgers, and maintaining various accounting files. • Position Type: Temp to hire
• Location: Skokie, IL
• Role: Accounting Clerk
• Rate: $24-$26/hr.
• Worksite Type: 100% onsite

Responsibilities:

• Code vendor invoices with proper general ledger codes
• Compile and sort all accounting documents
• Assist with meeting month end close requirements
• Maintain accurate vendor records
• Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks
• Process check runs
• Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare assigned reporting package schedules
• Verify accuracy of invoices and expenses
• Other clerical duties assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum two years of accounting experience
• Intermediate Microsoft excel skills
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently
