Lexington Home Brands is Hiring a Credit Manager Near Thomasville, NC

Lexington Home Brands, a global manufacturer and marketer of home furnishings, and a recognized leader in innovative design, lifestyle merchandising, and aspirational marketing has an immediate job opening for a full-time Credit Manager at its Thomasville Corporate Office.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Build and foster effective client relationships by providing excellent customer service
  • Maintain and encourage open lines of communication with independent account managers and customer service representatives
  • Evaluate new customers credit worthiness
  • Continually evaluate existing customers credit worthiness
  • Set, and maintain credit terms and credit limits based on customer pay habits, pay ratings, and credit reports
  • Manage delinquent account process including mailing dunning letters and statements, and contacting customers to collect payments, or acquire payment information
  • Basic understanding of FTC “Red Flags” rule, and procedures to insure compliance
  • Perform collection calls on outstanding accounts receivable
  • Provide copies of statements, invoices, proofs of delivery and bills of lading as requested by customers, or Credit Director
  • Respond to correspondence and collection inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Review and research unauthorized deductions, and take necessary action to resolve
  • Prepare trade references for customers
  • Maintain relationships with credit reporting and collection agencies, and periodically attend group credit meetings
  • Lead cross-functional teams to cohesively manage business operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
  • At least 4 years of experience in Accounts receivable, preferably in distribution or a sales-driven organization
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with ERP, SQL or related operating system knowledge
  • Fluency in billing systems and general ledger
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Required Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, anticipating potential roadblocks and recognizing trends
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, be pro-active, and follow-through on work assigned by organizing, prioritizing and staying on task
  • Accountable for customer satisfaction through internal and external communications
  • Ability to skillfully negotiate with internal and external customers in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner
  • Professional phone demeanor and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Display positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Use a methodical, “common sense” approach to credit and business decisions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
