JOB PURPOSE:
As a student affairs Graduate Assistant, assist the Law School Career Services department with student and graduate programming, job outcome assistance, and systems/program support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Duties Include:
As a student affairs Graduate Assistant, the candidate will work directly under the Assistant Dean of Law Career Services and as part of the Law School Career Services team performing a wide array of distinct and ongoing projects in student and graduate programming, job sourcing, job outcome assistance, and professional development. The GA will have direct interaction with students, alumni, visitors, and faculty/staff. GA will learn and operate the 12Twenty Career Services management software.Some key responsibilities include entering job and event postings, corresponding with law school teams across the country to request and facilitate reciprocity privileges, assisting students in trouble shooting Career Connect, processing student requests, assisting with events, monitoring the general email and directing emails as appropriate.

PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY:

  • Cover letter - Please indicate in your Cover Letter your available hours, including which timeframes you are available for in-person work at the law school.
  • Graduate Student in the Lewis & Clark higher education administration, student affairs, or counseling programs
  • Ability to work between 10-20 hours per week during standard business hours
  • Professionally fluent in the English language - writing and speaking
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiative.
  • Good organization, communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
  • Google Suite and Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and use good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
RATE OF PAY:
  • $20 per hour

  • No work study requirement

Eligibility to Work
