Levi Hospital is Hiring a Director of Pharmacy Near National Park, AR

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Pharmacy to join our team. As the Director of Pharmacy, you will be responsible for oversight of all pharmacy operations. As a valuable member of the healthcare team, the pharmacy director is expected to provide safe, timely, and quality care to all patients. The pharmacy director shall demonstrate leadership and direction in all day-to-day interactions surrounding patient care.

Duties:
1. Deliver quality care in a safe and timely manner by:

  • Collaborating with physician and nursing staff to establish and maintain efficient workflow.
  • Identify gaps in pharmacy operations and implement resolutions.
  • Coach other healthcare team members in pharmacy problem-solving.

2. Collaboration Efforts

  • Provide nursing and provider education when prompted and/or necessary.
  • Streamline implementation of pharmacy problem-solving.
  • Be involved in hospital leadership roles and contribute to relevant committees.

3. Retain high-functioning pharmacy professionals

  • Recruit and train other pharmacy staff members as workload necessitates.

4. Promote growth of pharmacy services throughout Levi Hospital

  • Identify and suggest new programs and/or services the pharmacy could offer for the benefit of the patient.
  • Educate hospital staff on implementation of new pharmacy programs.

5. Operate in compliance with all governing bodies

  • Ensure the pharmacy follows policies and procedures approved by Levi Hospital.
  • Ensure the pharmacy follows rules and regulations mandated by AR Board of Pharmacy, CMS, AR Department of Health, DEA, FDA, etc.

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current Arkansas Pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy management experience
- Strong knowledge of patient care in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership abilities
