Job Summary:

Level Five Capital Partners is seeking a mature, responsible, intelligent analyst or associate to complement our existing private equity transaction team. The new role of Associate supports the principals in all aspects of the deal process from origination and due diligence through deal structuring and post-investment portfolio management. Candidates who take initiative, are thoughtful and inquisitive, have a tremendous work ethic and a high level of maturity are considered ideal. Superior written and oral communication skills are also required. Experience with data analysis and visualization are preferred.

The Associate role is an opportunity to join a growing private equity firm focused on exciting and attractive consumer brands and learn from experienced investors and operators in enduring consumer brands.

Responsibilities:

New employee will be a critical member of investment team. Primary areas of focus:

• Provide initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunities as well as tracking of the firm’s investment pipeline.
• Extensive financial modeling, in particular: understanding and building unit economic models with operational detail; Sensitivity analysis to review multiple financial outcomes; Curiosity to understand businesses and incorporate the main driving features that drive bottom-line performance of our businesses.
• Assist in preparation and presentation of Investment Memos to the firm’s Investment Committee.
• Ongoing responsibilities of monitoring assets within the firm’s portfolio include reviewing monthly operating results and maintaining project performance.
• Maintain L5’s internal database of potential investments and develop strategy to determine targeted sectors and companies.
• Work with our companies in optimizing their key areas of focus and areas with highest return on investment.
• Interest in data analysis and visualization and incorporating in the evaluation of businesses and the investment process.
• Travel is required as part of the role.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be highly analytical and intellectually curious. 
• Bachelor degree in finance, business, or related fields.
• Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in Excel is required.
• Previous transaction experience on either the buy or sell side is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial to the candidate’s success.
• Clear, concise writing skills are required.
• Previous private equity or transaction-based consulting preferred. Investment banking background is considered a plus.

Please note, compensation is on-market with PE/Associate 1 Levels.
