Hiring Now: RESTAURANT MANAGER!We're hiring a Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, with a strong focus on executing exceptional service alongside our front of house team and 2-3 years of experience in a high volume full-service restaurant.Miru, Japanese for view, is located on the 11th floor of the St. Regis Chicago, with a menu featuring sushi, sashimi and raw selections from the sushi bar, complimented by sharable dishes like tempura, skewers and fried rice, as well as a robust wagyu and seafood section.

The Restaurant Manager’sPrimary Focus:

  • Run shifts and lead and direct the dailyoperations of a restaurant
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and participatein line, temperature and cooler checks; oversee all closing manager dutiesincluding counting down the safe, reviewing labor sheets and preparing nightlynumbers email
  • Organize,run and supervise smooth and efficient daily opening and closing shifts,ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience
  • Provide guidance and leadership tohourly and management teams while fostering our Culture of Caring
  • Respond immediately and effectively toguest and employee needs and feedback
  • Assist GM in managing costs, drivingsales and growing the business in support of financial goals
  • Partner with GM and management team tointerview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop all FOH and BOH employees andteams as needed
  • Performregular and ad hoc inventories of food, beverage and restaurant supplies andtrack high cost items; place food, beverage and restaurant supply orders; andaccept and inspect deliveries
  • Model and promote teamwork across allteams
  • Use tact and good judgment when dealingwith challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond withpatience and courtesy
  • Work a variety of days and shifts(including early mornings, late nights and weekends) at multiple sites with orwithout overnight travel, as needed
  • Moveand lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds,occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements & Skills

  • 2-3 years ofrestaurant management experience
  • Skilled in developingguest rapport
  • Skilled in leadingteams
