Lescombes Family Vineyards, a family-owned and family-operated winery, is seeking a motivated wine industry, regional supplier representative to assist in selling our great portfolio of wines in New Mexico. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and strong team player to assist in sales and to work extensively with our established distributor in New Mexico. Applicants MUST have alcohol sales experience to be considered for the position.

This is a base commission position. Remote position in Albuquerque is preferred but other cities in NM can be considered.

Position Requirements: Field Work 85%:

  • Call on on-premise and off-premise accounts with distributor partners' sales force
  • Further, develop and grow business within a set territory
  • Drive revenue growth year over year within a set territory
  • Engage in regular and effective communication with distributors monitoring plans, programs, and priorities to achieve sales and distribution goals throughout the assigned territory
  • Develop target account lists, educate and train staff on our brands and our company story
  • Conduct wine tastings and trade events, sometimes on weekends and evenings
  • Develop new accounts and maintain existing relationships with established key accounts
  • Manage and work with distributors and their sales reps to achieve volume and new placement goals
  • Analyze sales information to implement brand strategies and objectives
  • Participate in quarterly sales meetings
  • Effectively influence off-premise accounts and on-premise accounts as well as leverage new and exciting relationships to increase market penetration
  • Deliver strong presentations entertainingly and educationally to distributor sales reps, key account managers, trade, and consumers at trade shows, distributor meetings, and consumer tastings
  • Manage weekly recaps and monthly and bi-monthly planning reporting

Administrative Work 15%:

  • Maintain regular communication with sales office and sales management
  • Provide same-day response to customers and communicate efficiently and effectively with interoffice staff
  • Regularly report on sales progress and distribution initiatives
  • Provide the company with insight and trends that will enable us to better reach our volume objectives

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in a highly professional manner: must be professional, focused, positive, detail-oriented and demonstrate a high level of personal integrity, with superb time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work history in wine distribution, retail, or supply
  • Prefer 2 years of successful distributor management and/or wine supplier experience in selling wine, building brands, and establishing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Existing contacts and strong relationships with key on- and off-premise accounts preferred
  • Excellent selling skills, including strong verbal and written communication, strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability and desire to travel frequently within the territory for meetings, market visits, presentations, and market support
  • Objective-oriented, focused, and assertive personality with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Demonstrated success in business development and increasing volume, success in chain and/or regional account management

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work remotely and independently without supervision; self-motivated
  • Willingness to work full-time, non-traditional hours
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant travel
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Spanish speaking a plus
