Camp Counselor

Job Type: Part-Time. Seasonal

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 DOE

Les Bois Swim Academy is looking for energetic & upbeat Camp Counselors with a sincere love of children, teaching, & having fun! This is the perfect part-time position for anyone looking for a set summer schedule. We are closed on all major holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Develop intentional relationships with campers & their families that result in campers having fun and making new friends.
• Create an environment that fosters safety through the education of campers and by role modeling safe behavior.
• Effectively communicate with campers & parents while providing feedback when necessary.
• Resolve camper and parent concerns and issues as needed
• Monitor and ensure safety of participants & staff
• Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion
• Understand and comply with all company/facility rules, policies and regulations
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• 18 yrs old.
• Reliable transportation
• Interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Display a positive attitude & work harmoniously with co-workers, the general public, and other organizations.
• Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance.
• Complete assignments in a timely fashion
• Understand and comply with all rules, policies, and regulations.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor, and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Respond calmly & quickly to emergency situations.
