This position is responsible for the safe handling of product, sanitation of the draught lines and customer service. This is primarily a fast-paced job servicing equipment in stores, bars, and restaurants under the direct supervision of the Dept Supervisor and has little latitude for independent direction in duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform duties that include servicing equipment in stores, bars, and restaurants, performed in compliance with any product specifications, established product specific procedures, safety and industry sanitation requirements per state and federal regulations.

Examples of Work(Illustrative Only)

• To safely handle hazardous cleaning chemicals in compliance with all MSDS, state and federal safety and administrative requirements, as well as following and promoting the HBC safety policy (98%);
• To safely and effectively use cleaning chemicals to perform industry sanitation standards and company standards;
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required while using hazardous cleaning chemicals;
• To safely operate a company vehicle in compliance with all state and federal safety and administrative requirements, as well as following and promoting the HBC safety policy;
• Complete driver inspection reports (DIR) daily in accordance with company policy;
• Service customer accounts in a professional manner. This position requires employee to have direct contact with our retailers and their customers;
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Duties are subject to change at the discretion of HBC, to accommodate the changes and needs of the industry and our customers.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• 4 x 10 schedule: Tuesday through Friday at 6 am

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrate the ability tofollow directions and with necessary attention to detail;
• Ability to maintain legible and readable service verification stickers at the account and accurate tracking records;
• Demonstrate the ability to successfully function as a member of a team through communication while engaging in self-directed resourcefulness;
• Drug and/or alcohol testing- Successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug test with a negative result for the presence controlled substances to be accepted for employment with the Company;
• Participate and pass random drug tests in accordance to the Company’s established Drug Free Workplace programs;
• Background – Ability to pass criminal background and employment reference check;
• Valid Driver’s License and Satisfactory Driving Record-Satisfy Company requirements which include but are not limited to no more than two (2) moving traffic violations/convictions, no DUI, or license suspensions within the past three (3) years or any other driving record that may be deemed as unacceptable by the Company
• Demonstrate an exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems, and regular reporting
• Demonstrate ability to work independently while functioning as a member of a team through communication and engagement in self-directed resourcefulness and analytical thinking

Essential Physical Abilities

• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone;
• Sufficient visual and mental acuity, which permits the employee to comprehend written and verbal work instructions, and make determination of necessary actions to take to comply with hygiene and appearance standards for the facility. Uniforms may be provided and when provided must be worn in a safe manner shirts consistent with instructions as provided;
• Sufficient visual and manual dexterity, which permits the employee to operate safely in a fast moving environment;
• Sufficient body mobility, flexibility, and agility to lift 25 to 50 pounds, routinely carrying a container with supplies up to 60 to 100 times a day. Also, must be able to climb up and down stairs without difficulty, frequent squatting, bending and twisting, push/pull/slide objects, stand for the duration of their shift and walk an equivalent of several miles per day;
• Must be able to drive multiple hours at a time with stops up to 35 times a day with travel from warehouse, office, outdoor and retail environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position; Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday and must be available for holidays, weekends, and after hours as business needs dictate.

Travel
Intermediate to frequent travel throughout area of responsibility is expected with this position. Overnight travel constitutes less than 20% of the time.
