OVERVIEW
Under limited supervision, performs janitorial services for the ASC Greenway Gateway Canteen/Specialty Events. Monitors the cleanliness of the facility and ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the space on a day-to-day basis.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Performs janitorial services. This involves regularly cleaning and sanitizing common areas such as lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, and hallways. Tasks may include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, emptying trash bins, and restocking supplies like paper towels and soap
• Responsible for keeping track of inventory levels and restocking essential supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and office supplies
• Empties trash receptacles throughout the facility and ensures proper disposal of waste. This includes sorting recycling and handling any special waste disposal requirements
• Maintains exterior areas such as sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor seating areas. This may involve sweeping, picking up litter, and removing debris
• Maintains vigilance and responds to spills, accidents, or other emergencies that may occur during the day. Follows proper safety procedures to handle such situations
• Interacts with building occupants, visitors, and vendors and maintains good customer service while assisting visitors, answering questions, and addressing concerns/requests
• Responsible for routine safety checks. This includes checking for unlocked doors, reporting suspicious activity, and ensuring that safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and emergency exits are easily accessible and in good working condition
• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations (i.e. OSHA, health and safety regulations and guidelines)
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED with previous custodial experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications; will train
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving history

REPORTING TO THIS POSITION
No supervisory responsibilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Some physical requirements could be endurance-related, including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, climbing, and stretching; requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and activities; requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate activities; exposure to inconsistent weather conditions such as sun, heat, or rain. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects when needed. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time.
