LEPORT MONTESSORI, part of the Spring Education Group family of schools, is seeking passionate Montessori educators who guide their students in meaningful work while providing a prepared environment that facilitates student-led learning and freedom with responsibility.

LePort Montessori Orchard Hills is currently looking for dedicated and caring individual to be part of our community and is comfortable working with toddlers and primary ages (3-6 years). During your day, you will have the opportunity to guide children in their learning, and build relationships with the children as you assist our Head Teachers throughout the day. You will primarily be located in one classroom with children 3-6 years old.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the Head Teacher is able to present individualized lessons.
• Knowing and maintaining ratio.
• Willingness to learn about Montessori pedagogy.
• Provide observational notes to the Head Teacher.
• Receive feedback from staff throughout the day.
• Helping to maintain a prepared environment.
• Assist children with their work.

Duration: Year-Round (12 months), Monday - Friday, should have availability between the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm with a schedule of 8:30am-5:00pm daily

The Essentials...

• Must successfully clear criminal background without exemption.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Complies with all state education and licensing standards and maintains validation of credentials for the position (i.e. professional development). Must have or is willing to obtain 12 ECE units in compliance with DSS regulations for the state of CA.

Childcare experience is recommended.

Montessori experience or willingness to learn about the Montessori approach is highly preferred, as the assistant teacher role is different for Montessori compared to traditional preschools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
