The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and product development strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances brand equity and awareness. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training and managing all marketing functions to achieve the company objectives of sales, growth, profitability and visibility while ensuring a focused marketing message and brand position consistent with the corporate direction.

Specific Functions
· Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans in support of the Lennys vision and objectives.
· Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, category management, as well as call to action oriented POP, collateral and advertising toward key customer segments that increase brand awareness.
· Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs.
· Analyze, evaluate, plan and execute on both existing and potential marketing activities and strategies. Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs (LTOs, Promos, LSM, Pricing and menu changes).
· Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness
· Measure return on marketing investment and implement improvements as required
· Identify, interpret and capitalize on marketing trends
· Manage full franchisee funded marketing budget forecasted annually and by project
· Coach, Mentor and raise the team’s ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession talent.
· Develop and prepare key messaging and presentation material for executive committee team.
· Advise and work collaboratively with all department heads including operations, legal, development, IT and HR to ensure strategic objectives are understood and aligned.

Requirements
· 5-7 years in a senior leadership marketing role within a complex organization
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other related field. Graduate degree in a marketing related field is desirable
· Previous experience with multiple store types (i.e.: free standing, mall food court, strip centers, mall in-line, airport, etc.)
Preferences
· Demonstrated track record of accomplishments in QSR restaurant marketing
