Field Verification Manager:
Lennar is seeking a Field Verification Manager to be responsible for assisting the DOP, Starts Manager and Permitting Manager with the process of starting a new home. This includes site turnover walks, plot plan review, existing and new grading evaluation as related to the home selected for each homesite including all utilities. The position also includes the verification and correction, as needed, of all takeoffs for all active plans. Will work with Construction Managers, Division Purchasing Team, and the Florida ROC to resolve take-off and plan issues when necessary.
Responsibilities: Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Point person for the acquisition and approval of all plot plans used for permitting.
- Expert on grading for the communities Field Verification Manager oversees.
- Interact with the Purchasing Managers, DOC’s, Area Managers, and Construction Managers to resolve any take off problems.
- Verify and approve take off changes sent in from the field.
- Field inspection and verification of architectural, engineering, and materials on all new prototype homes.
- Field inspection and validation of take offs and make necessary adjustments.
- Field inspections to identify unnecessary overhead expenses such as generators, portable toilets, and material wastes.
- Evaluate take off issues in the field and review with Estimator to make adjustments as necessary.
- Perform random audits of materials when dropped by supplier.
- Perform random audits during the construction process to ensure quality control.
- Perform random audits during the construction process to ensure Scopes of Work and specifications are being enforced and followed.
- Assist as necessary with material take offs for new and revised plans.
- Analyze plans for cost analysis recommendations and value engineering adjustments.
- Participate in division variance meetings, communicating results to the purchasing and construction team for any adjustments needed.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College Degree preferred
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
- Valid Auto Insurance Coverage
- Minimum of 2 years of residential construction experience
- Computer literate with the ability to work with JD Edwards, Box.com, Build Pro/Supply Pro, and Excel preferred
- Full understanding of residential construction and architectural design
- Professionally perform multiple, detail oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
- Good writing and organization skills
- Possess strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty
- Team Player with the ability to work well under pressure

Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office and/or the field environment. Also requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry items that are less than 50 pounds. Finger dexterity required in operating a computer keyboard and a calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork, and meeting with vendors and contractors and to receive/return phone messages. Standing is required for filing and copying.
