The Pickleball Instructor is a part time position responsible for teaching pickleball to the program participants and implementation of on-site activities and instruction. Subject to daytime and evening schedule.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Supervise program participants.
Take attendance and maintain records for supervisor.
Implement pickleball activities and provide instruction to participants regarding specific activities.
Adhere to daily lesson plan as approved by the supervisor.
Maintain Park District and facility in a clean and orderly manner.
Communicate effectively with participants, parents and staff regarding rule infractions, questions, and concerns.
Demonstrate and support park district customer service standards.
Follow District and departmental safety, personnel, and administrative policies, procedures, and ordinances.
Distribute written communication to program participants as needed.
Ensure that all participants stay safe by educating them on safe practices and District policies, procedures and guidelines are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Knowledge of pickleball.
Ability to instruct participants in specific activities and skills related to Pickleball.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and leadership skills.
Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns as needed.
Ability to work independently.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment:
Work will take place both indoors and outdoors in various seasons. Employees must have the ability to move back and forth on the courts. The employee must possess the visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations, and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
