Explore Industries is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician for our Knoxville, TN location to join our Shop Team. This team member does the construction, modification, repair, and maintenance for fiberglass swimming pools and spa molds by using gauges, cutting tools, jigs, and tooling gels.

The Mold Maintenance Technician cleans, grinds, sands, waxes and buffs molds while evaluating and rating mold condition and marks areas for repair. He/she prepares mold surfaces for lamination by properly applying with release film, wax and other release agents ensuring that molds are ready to move on to production when needed. This position follows established procedures to apply material by hand and/or machine to produce standard and nonstandard components and products of quality. Technicians work with small power tools to include grinders, sanders, buffers, screwdrivers, drills and handheld tools such as scissors, scrappers and razor knives.
