Description
Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a small team of senior professionals providing Cybersecurity Engineering support services for the implementation and fielding of the National Leadership Command Capability in support of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Continuity of Government (COG), and Senior Leader communications.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network. Duties may include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating, and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments. Support level duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment. Resolves highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation. Develops solutions that are highly innovative and achieved through research and integration of best practices. Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures. Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, virtual private networks, firewalls, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), and cryptographic solutions.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
12-15 of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering/Administration support is required.
Active TS/SCI Polygraph
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline is required and 12-15 years of experience relevant experience providing Network Engineering/Administration may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Resolves highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation.
mplement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, virtual private networks, firewalls, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), and cryptographic solutions.
An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
