Your greatest work is ahead! Leidos is hiring for a DevOps Engineer / SRE in Columbia, MD. You will serve on a mission-critical project that will leverage your skills to ensure delivery of a premier Security Operations Center (SOC) prototype solution to the customer. This position is contingent upon contract award. What you’ll be doing: * Develop and maintain cloud-based and Kubernetes-based prototype environments in support of the prototype development efforts.
* Help lead development of a prototype Security Operations Center (SOC) capability for the customer. What does Leidos need from me? * Active Top Secret security clearance required.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field and five plus years of relevant software development or testing experience. 
* Candidate must have at least four plus years of prior relevant cloud engineering experience. 
* Relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of years of experience. 
* Implementation Experience with AWS or Azure. 
* Experience setting up and maintaining Kubernetes-based environments. 
* Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, TCP/IP, and a working knowledge of cybersecurity principles. 
* Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to communicate technical concepts. 
* Demonstrated experience with scripting Languages including Python and PowerShell Scripting. 
* Proficiency with at least one Database Management System. 
* Working knowledge of Agile development and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/DC) methodologies and tools. 
* Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques. 
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Favorable if you have: * Experience with Cybersecurity products SIEM, SOAR, endpoint security products, or network security products. 
* Experience on an Agile software development team. 
* DevSecOps experience, service management, and container to cluster migration. 
* Bachelor's degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline. 
* AWS Cloud or Microsoft Azure Certifications. Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
