Legere Group, Ltd. is Hiring a Millwork Estimator Near Avon, CT

Legere Woodworking is an architectural woodworking company with a 49-year tradition of excellence. We currently have a great opportunity for a qualified Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills, detail-oriented and highly motivated. We offer a competitive salary and a great benefits package. Responsibilities:

  • Submit bids for fabrication and installation
  • Communicate with General Contractors/Architects about job requirements
  • Perform take-offs for woodworking items, identifies details of drawings and reviews specifications for projects
  • Obtain quotes to determine project material and labor costs
  • Creates required (RFI’s) for general contractors as needed
  • Quote change orders on jobs currently in progress
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, customers and architects to ensure needs are met for all project requirements in a timely manner
  • Communicates with contractors and vendors to ensure accurate estimates as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Able to multi-task and meet precise deadlines
  • Understanding of architectural drawings and developing cost estimates preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are essential
  • Possesses great attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal & communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural millwork sales or closely related field
  • High school diploma; BS/BA in Architecture. Engineering or Construction Mgmt. preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience using software such as Innergy, Bluebeam & SAP
