Description

We are looking for an experienced Meat Cutter to provide high-quality meats and services to our restaurants. The Meat Cutter will perform quality inspections, use meat grinders, knives, saws, and other tools to cut meat down into smaller portions, weigh, label, and package cuts.

The ideal candidatehas a strong understanding of meat quality/cuts, andis courteous, knowledgeable, detailed oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Cutting, grinding and preparing meats
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
• Weighing, packaging, labeling, and storing products
• Keeping records, budgets, and inventory
• Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
• Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a meat cutter or butcher in a grocery store or similar food service establishment
• Knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper techniques for cutting and trimming
• Excellent knife skills and ability to use meat processing equipment
• Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment, as well asstand or walk for extending periods, and lift heavy items
• Ability to work in wet and cold environment
