For over 50 years, Legal Aid of East Tennessee has worked to build stronger communities and improve lives by providing high-quality legal services free of charge to qualifying individuals in areas such as consumer, housing, family, public benefits, and a range of other miscellaneous matters. We are advocates for the elderly, for families, and for victims of domestic violence and work closely with our clients to help navigate legal challenges and seek out justice. Every day, we proudly answer the call for high-quality legal services that help change lives and improve communities across 26 counties from Chattanooga to the Tri Cities.
We are seeking a full-time Paralegal available for intake, outreach, and support for high-quality legal services to persons and families facing eviction or other housing-related legal challenges. A demonstrated commitment to exceptional legal work and equal access to justice is required. Candidates should exhibit cultural awareness and empathy towards the communities we serve while embodying the mission and values of LAET with integrity and courage.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or certification from an accredited paralegal program.
Salary: Dependent upon experience, from $35,244 for entry level candidates, higher for each year of experience thereafter. LAET offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement, and paid leave.
