Job Purpose:

The Mentor Coach at Legacy Leaders is crucial in steering young adults toward realizing their potential as influential community leaders. This position involves direct mentoring, coaching, and formulating programs that align with the organization's mission to nurture financial independence, life balance, and generational wealth among leaders of color. The coach will act as a beacon of community support, education, and empowerment, enabling a transformative journey for mentors and mentees alike.

Responsibilities:

• Program Design and Implementation: Develop and execute mentorship programs that align with our foundational mission to bridge gaps and foster growth within communities of color.
• Individualized Coaching: Conduct personalized coaching sessions for professional mentors, addressing specific goals and challenges, thereby promoting a culture of excellence and self-improvement.
• Workshop Facilitation: Lead engaging workshops and seminars on leadership, financial literacy, and personal development, equipping mentors with the tools they need for success. Workshops will be planned and scheduled four times throughout the year.
• Community Network Cultivation: Build and maintain a nurturing mentor community network that opens mentorship, resources for the program, and business opportunities, ensuring a supportive environment for all participants.
• Progress Assessment: Regularly evaluate participants' progress with their mentors and programs' effectiveness through a weekly tracker, ensuring alignment with set objectives and outcomes.
• Monthly In-Service Sessions: Host monthly in-service sessions via Zoom to bring together mentors for training and discussions on specific topics, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Live Event Participation: Engage in at least 2 live events for fellows and mentors, contributing to a tangible sense of community and shared purpose among participants.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or close to completing an undergraduate program.
• Experience in Mentorship/Coaching: Demonstrated background in mentoring or coaching, mainly focusing on youth and adult development.
• Understanding Community Challenges: A deep comprehension of the unique challenges and opportunities within communities of color.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and build strong, supportive relationships.
• Organizational Ability: Excellent organizational skills, with a knack for managing multiple tasks and programs efficiently.
• Leadership and Passion: I have a strong passion for leadership development and a committed drive to foster generational change within communities of color.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
