Legacy Health Services is currently seeking a Benefits Specialist with long term care facility experience. The purpose of this position is to provide overall assistance with multiple facilities.

This position will collaborate within the organization, as well as third party vendors and will provide excellent customer service and education to team members for the administration of benefits, wellness, and retirement plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists payroll coordinators with benefit questions based on employee benefits eligibility group and status
• Assures accurate and timely approval of benefit selections for eligible employees and dependents, including ensuring that all supporting documentation has been received.
• Audits and analyzes benefits status and data to ensure plans are in compliance
• Organizes activities with all benefit partners, including consultants and vendors, ranging from daily issues to implementation of changes.
• Evaluate, reconcile, and submit vendor invoices, coordinates billing issues and corrections with external partners and internal team
• Participates in the development and implementation of annual open enrollment material and processes.
• Gathers and analyzes data to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met, and proactively communicates issues with manager.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings.
• Other special projects as assigned.

Education / Experience

• BA or college coursework and/or appropriate work experience considered
• 1-3 years experience in a related field
• System knowledge with Dayforce software
• Experience with Benefits vendor systems
• 1-2 years minimum experience in a long term care facility required
