Job Summary: As a Cashier at Lefty's Cheesesteak, you will be at the forefront of customer interactions and play a key role in the overall dining experience. You will be responsible for processing customer transactions, ensuring order accuracy, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your customer service skills in a busy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and take orders with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Handle cash, credit, or check transactions with customers.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets.
• Redeem promotional offers, taking accurate orders and managing payments.
• Ensure pricing is correct and update menu boards as necessary.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct.
• Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area and complete other general cleaning duties.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
• Bag items carefully, manage takeout orders, and uphold sanitary practices.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure an efficient and professional service operation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role in a restaurant setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
